About Ashley Nurse

Ashley Nurse, born December 22, 1988, in Barbados, is an off-spin bowler and useful lower-order batsman who has contributed significantly in West Indies’ limited-overs cricket. Known for his calm presence and smart bowling variations, Nurse has often been West Indies’ go-to option in the middle overs. He made his international debut in 2011 but became a regular after 2016, playing key roles in ODIs and T20Is. Nurse is adept at bowling tight lines and taking wickets by building pressure. His best ODI bowling figures came against Sri Lanka in 2016, where he took 3/46. Apart from his bowling, Nurse is a handy batsman capable of launching quick cameos at the end of the innings. His powerful hitting has often turned matches, especially in regional and franchise leagues. He has represented Barbados Tridents in the CPL and brought a mix of control and aggression to every team he’s played for. Off the field, Nurse is lighthearted and team-oriented, known for his jovial nature in the dressing room. Though no longer a regular in the national team, his experience and cricketing acumen keep him relevant in the Caribbean cricket circuit.
