About Hasan Ali
Hasan Ali is a passionate and aggressive fast bowler who burst onto the international scene with his infectious energy and match-winning abilities. Born on July 2, 1994, in Gujranwala, Hasan made his ODI debut in 2016 and soon became a key figure in Pakistan’s pace attack.
His biggest breakthrough came during the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy, where he emerged as the Player of the Tournament, taking 13 wickets, including a game-changing spell against England in the semi-final. Hasan’s celebratory "generator" pose became iconic during that tournament. His ability to swing the ball, hit the deck hard, and bowl deadly slower balls made him Pakistan’s leading wicket-taker that year.
In Tests, Hasan has delivered memorable performances, notably during the 2021 Test series against South Africa and Zimbabwe, where he took two five-wicket hauls. His reverse swing, accuracy, and ability to bowl long spells make him a potent red-ball bowler.
While injuries and form slumps have occasionally disrupted his career, Hasan's resilience has seen him make multiple comebacks. His spirited personality, never-say-die attitude, and willingness to perform in any conditions have made him a fan favorite.
In the PSL, he has been a key player for Peshawar Zalmi and later Islamabad United, consistently among the top wicket-takers. Hasan is also known for his handy lower-order batting and positive dressing room energy.
Off the field, Hasan is admired for his commitment, patriotism, and open personality. Married to an Indian national, his cross-border love story gained media attention and won hearts on both sides. Hasan Ali continues to be a passionate servant of Pakistan cricket, with plenty more to offer in all formats.
