About Kagiso Rabada
Kagiso Rabada, born May 25, 1995, in Johannesburg, is a premier right-arm fast bowler known for his sheer pace, skillful seam movement, and ability to deliver under pressure. Since debuting in 2015, Rabada has risen rapidly to become the spearhead of South Africa’s bowling attack.
His breakout moment came when he took a hat-trick on ODI debut against Bangladesh in 2015. Rabada has since achieved multiple five-wicket hauls in both Tests and ODIs, with a career-best 7/112 in Tests. In 2018, he became the youngest South African to reach 100 Test wickets and has consistently ranked among the top bowlers in ICC rankings.
Rabada’s ability to swing the ball at high speeds and execute yorkers makes him dangerous in all formats. His performances in Test series against England, Australia, and India have cemented his reputation as a match-winner. He was awarded the ICC Test Cricketer of the Year in 2018.
Off the field, Rabada is articulate and socially aware, often speaking on issues beyond cricket. He’s also involved in music and media projects and co-founded a production company. Rabada’s mix of talent, discipline, and charisma makes him not just a cricketing star, but a role model for the next generation.
