About Mohammed Siraj
Mohammed Siraj’s journey from the bylanes of Hyderabad to becoming one of India’s premier pacers is one of grit and perseverance. Born on March 13, 1994, Siraj grew up in modest surroundings. His raw pace and natural aggression caught the eye during his domestic outings and IPL performances for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Siraj made his international debut in 2017 but truly came into his own during India’s 2020–21 tour of Australia. Despite personal tragedy and injury concerns within the team, Siraj led the attack in the historic Gabba Test, helping India secure a series win. His 5-wicket haul in that match established him as a reliable red-ball bowler.
As of 2025, Siraj has taken over 70 Test wickets and emerged as a force in ODIs, including a stunning spell of 6/21 against Sri Lanka in the 2023 Asia Cup final. He has also been a consistent performer in IPL, now representing Royal Challengers Bangalore. Known for his ability to swing the ball at pace, Siraj is vital to India’s pace battery.
Siraj’s humility and emotional journey have earned him widespread respect. He actively connects with fans on Instagram (@mohammedsirajofficial), sharing glimpses of training, family, and travel.
