About Mushfiqur Rahim
Mushfiqur Rahim, born on May 9, 1987, in Bogura, is one of Bangladesh's most technically sound and mentally tough cricketers. Wearing jersey number 15, he has served as a long-time wicketkeeper-batsman and has been central to Bangladesh’s batting strength for nearly two decades.
Mushfiqur made his debut in 2005 at the age of 16 and quickly became known for his compact technique and unwavering determination. He has scored over 15,000 international runs, with landmark innings such as his double century against Sri Lanka in 2013—Bangladesh’s first-ever Test double ton. He also became the first Bangladeshi to score a T20I century.
As a former captain, Mushfiqur led the team with passion and discipline. His leadership in the middle order has been instrumental during several of Bangladesh’s historic wins. He’s known for his fighting spirit, whether rescuing Bangladesh from collapses or standing tall in high-pressure matches.
