About Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja, also known as "Sir Jadeja" by fans, is one of India’s finest all-rounders, valued for his fielding, accurate left-arm spin, and handy batting. Born on December 6, 1988, in Jamnagar, Gujarat, Jadeja was part of India’s victorious U-19 World Cup squad in 2008 and made his senior debut in 2009. Jadeja’s all-round brilliance is most prominent in Test cricket, where his partnership with R. Ashwin has formed a potent spin duo. He was instrumental in India’s Test victories at home and abroad, especially in Australia and England. With the bat, he has scored critical runs in the lower order, including a memorable century at The Oval in 2022. As of 2025, Jadeja has over 250 Test wickets, 2,500+ Test runs, and a reputation as one of the best fielders in the world. In the IPL, he plays for Chennai Super Kings and briefly captained the franchise. Off the field, Jadeja is a family man and owns a horse stable, a nod to his Rajput heritage.
